Tommy Egan is back, but when can we expect new episodes of Power Book IV: Force?
You may be wondering when the anticipated Power Book IV: Force season 2 finale is coming – shouldn’t it be next week, with the penultimate episode this week?
Well, the series is taking a short break, and so there’s no new episode this week. We know, we know, it’s just a further tense wait to see how the season will wrap up – but something tells us the wait will be worth it.
We’re at a very tense point of the show now, with only two episodes of the gritty drama’s second season left to go – and there’s even more to play for.
We follow Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora), Ghost’s former right-hand man, as he is forced to contend with plenty of new problems and enemies of his own in this Power spin-off series.
With episode 8 having landed on Lionsgate+ last week, we know that the stakes in the Chicago drug world just continue to heat up – as Tommy is all too aware of the fact that the FBI are on to his business.
This season has followed Tommy and Diamond (Isaac Keys), who are pushing through with their major Chicago takeover plan – but it seems like they’ve got a few things to worry about in the meantime.
And we know that there are more dramatic events to come, as teased by supervising producer Lisa Demaine.
In an interview with Variety, Demaine revealed: “There’s a lot of story from now to the end. I can tell you that [episode 9] is also epic and big and sweeping. The Stacy Marks task force is growing, and her reach is reaching out and seeping in.
“People die. The drug-dealing world is dangerous and dirty, and [episode 9] is big in a different way.”
The third spin-off series from the gritty world of Power is certainly packed with drama, and is once more masterminded by Courtney A Kemp and 50 Cent.
And if you’re still wanting more of a Power fix, have no fear, as Lionsgate+ has got you covered with the likes of Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which similarly feature all the action, drama and twists fans have come to expect from the franchise.

When is episode 9 and 10 of Power Book IV: Force season 2 on Lionsgate+?
The new series premiered on Lionsgate+ here in the UK on Friday 1st September 2023, and episodes have been released every Friday.
However, Force is having a short break, meaning episode 9 will be released on Lionsgate+ on Friday 3rd November.
The show airs on both Starz in the US and Lionsgate+ in the UK. Lionsgate+ is a ‘channel’ on Amazon Prime Video that will cost you an extra £5.99 per month on top of your Amazon Prime subscription (£7.99 per month).

There are 10 episodes in total of the second season of Power Book IV: Force. The finale is expected to air on Friday 10th November, so you can expect your Fridays to be filled with plenty of action and drama for a while yet.

The trailer for the second season shows that Tommy has a pretty major plan of allowing the other Chicago drug lords to get distracted by in-fighting and enemies so that he can slide on in as the next big shot.
If there’s one thing Tommy’s known for, it’s being trigger happy – so expect lots of explosive drama and plenty of gun fights. It wouldn’t be a Power season without it, right? Watch the trailer below.
