Twenty-four players are battling it out this year, including the world’s top 16.
Today sees the quarter-finals of the 2024 Shanghai Masters playing out, and while last year’s runner-up Luca Brecel has already been knocked out, Ronnie O’Sullivan is still firmly in the running to take home his fifth win in a row.
The Masters has featured 24 snooker players, including the world’s top 16, all of whom have been battling it out for glory across the week.
The tournament is a non-ranking invitation event which has been running since 2007, when Welsh player Dominic Dale took home the inaugural title, and there is some serious prize money on the line.
There are four English players left in the tournament in total, and four Chinese players, with the field of eight set to be whittled down to four throughout the day.
