Chelsea travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League on Saturday evening, with Emma Hayes’s side looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The Blues are three points clear of Manchester City after 11 games following their 3-1 win against Manchester United last weekend, with Lauren James netting a hat-trick.

Chelsea are hoping to win their seventh WSL title this season, ahead of Hayes’s exit this summer to take over the USA women’s national team.

While the Blues are fending off City and Arsenal in the title race, Brighton are looking to extend the distance between themselves and the foot of the table.

Melissa Phillips’s side beat bottom of the league Bristol City last weekend, thanks to Elisabeth Terland’s 95th-minute goal, to move them up to eighth.
