England will be hoping to kick off their Euro 2024 preparations in fine style when they face Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly at St James’ Park.
The Three Lions are among the favourites to win this summer’s tournament and make amends for the heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final three years ago, although Gareth Southgate has form and injury concerns to contend with.

Despite the trip to England representing a fresh start for Bosnia, who failed to qualify for the Euros, because new manager Sergej Barbarez takes charge for the first time, former Manchester City striker Edin Džeko remains a central figure at the age of 38 – and is set to win his 135th international cap.
