Northern Ireland travel to Kazakhstan on Sunday afternoon with their Euro 2024 dreams in tatters.

Michael O’Neill’s side were beaten 4-2 in Slovenia on Thursday night, meaning they’ve lost four of their five Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Northern Ireland are fifth in their qualifying group – only ahead of San Marino – and it seems they’ll have to watch Finland, Denmark, Slovenia and Kazakhstan battle it out for the top two spots unless their form dramatically turns around.

O’Neill’s men have lost four in a row while conceding seven and scoring just two goals in that period.

Kazakhstan lost at home against Finland on Thursday evening, but they’d won three Euro 2024 qualifiers in a row before that defeat. Magomed Adiyev’s side will be confident of racking up another three points against a Northern Ireland team in a dismal run of form.
