Your guide to watching all the drama from the villa this summer.
Make sure you get your snacks ready for Love Island as it looks like we’re in for a right treat after the latest recoupling.
Toby chose to couple up with Abigail, putting Chloe at risk of being dumped from the island. However, Hugo decided to save her.
Hugo then delivered a speech which gave us the drama Love Island has been missing, as he announced: “If I’m being completely honest, [Chloe] doesn’t doesn’t deserve to be treated how she has been this past 24 hours.”
Cue evils looks from Toby as he realised he’d now have to face Chloe in the villa after just trying to dump her.
So, what will this mean for the Love Island 2021 contestants? And will Hugo and Chloe give things a go for real?
In an exclusive RadioTimes.com poll, 75 per cent of Love Island fans voted that Chloe should move on from Toby with a new man following the recoupling drama.
Hugo could well be this new man – as the PE teacher himself said: “Stranger things have happened!”

Love Island COVID changes
The show’s host Laura Whitmore has revealed the tight COVID measures and rigorous interview process which was used to keep cast safe while still being able to interact with each other.
“They’re all in a bubble together. The Islanders have been out there for two weeks beforehand. I feel like all of Majorca is going to be the cast of Love Island,” she explained in an interview on Good Morning Britain.
One big change is that Laura will not actually be entering the villa for this latest series.
“I’m not going to be in the villa at all. So everything I do will be done outside the villa, or by the pool or by the firepit. So we stick to the rules that way,” she added.
Who hosts Love Island?
After a successful stint on the most recent winter series, Laura Whitmore has returned to host the summer version, alongside her husband Iain Stirling – who provides the show’s famous voiceover.
Where is the Love Island villa?
Confirmed: Love Island is taking place in its usual villa in Mallorca.
An ITV boss recently spoke out on the Love Island 2021 location, saying: “Mallorca is its home.”
The Mallorcan villa was pictured being refurbished and when RadioTimes.com asked ITV commissioner Amanda Stavri about it earlier in the year, she said: “We haven’t announced anything officially but Mallorca is very much the home of Love Island.”
She added:”I can’t confirm anything 100 per cent at this stage but it will definitely be the Love Island viewers know and love.”
As for whether producers considered any other locations for the show, Stavri said: “We did look into some back up plans but we were all very much focused on making it happen in Mallorca, which is where it belongs quite frankly.”
This year a large proportion of production for Love Island 2021 is being moved to the UK, following the pandemic Nevertheless, we’re told the 2021 series will be the Love Island viewers “know and love!”
In the previous winter series, singletons were whisked away to sunny South Africa, however, the summer edition has historically unfolded at a luxury villa in Mallorca.

Why was Love Island 2020 cancelled?
Unfortunately, Love Island’s previous summer series was cancelled on account of the coronavirus pandemic, as travel restrictions and social distancing meant a dating show abroad wasn’t feasible.
Director of Television at ITV, Kevin Lygo, made the announcement, explaining there was simply no way it could go ahead given the current UK lockdown.
He said in a statement: “We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer but logistically it’s just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the wellbeing of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.
“In normal circumstances, we would be preparing very soon to travel out to the location in Mallorca to get the villa ready but clearly that’s now out of the question.
“We are very sorry for fans of the show but making it safely is our prime concern and Love Island will be back stronger than ever in 2021.
“In the meantime, Love Island fans can still enjoy all six series of Love Island on BritBox.”
Love Island airs new episodes every night on ITV2 at 9pm, except Saturdays. While you’re waiting, check out more of our Entertainment coverage or visit our TV Guide to see what’s on tonight.
