The CMA has finally approved the Microsoft and Activision-Blizzard-King deal after the latter made concessions regarding cloud streaming rights over the games involved.

But that doesn’t stop them from appearing on Team Green’s subscription service, and so we’ll be answering when could Call of Duty come to Xbox Game Pass, with our best estimate of the exact date.

The deal has been years in the making at this point, and the path forward isn’t entirely certain yet, but one thing is for sure – a lot more people are going to be playing Call of Duty in the near future.

It’s not just Call of Duty, of course, Microsoft will own outright Activision, Blizzard, Beenox, Demonware, Digital Legends, High Moon Studios, Infinity Ward, King, Major League Gaming, Radical Entertainment, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Toys for Bob and Treyarch.

Expect to see a fair few games – and perhaps some old favourites – appearing on Xbox Game Pass in the future.

With all that said, CoD is your God so let’s cut to the chase!

Will Call of Duty come to Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, Call of Duty will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Now that the final regulatory body, the CMA, is appeased, nothing is stopping Call of Duty from being added in due course.

This means that nothing is standing in Microsoft’s way, and (hopefully) those with the Game Pass will soon be able to play Call of Duty releases without splashing out the full price for the pleasure.

This will also be alongside other titles from the wealth of studios Microsoft now owns.

When will Call of Duty come to Xbox Game Pass?

Call of Duty will come to Xbox Game Pass in 2024. This was revealed on X (formerly Twitter), with Activision-Blizzard themselves stating “we anticipate that we would begin adding games into Game Pass sometime in the course of next year“.
