The Premier League 2021/22 season starts very soon, with 20 teams ready to do battle once again, just weeks after the conclusion of Euro 2020.

Europe’s finest footballers must gear up ready to go again in the world’s most lucrative domestic league, with Manchester City aiming to defend their title – but they face stiff competition.

Liverpool suffered a lull last season and will be determined to bounce back with fit-again Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson, while Manchester United have added Jadon Sancho to their ranks and will be determined to push on.

The initial fixture list has been confirmed, along with all the key dates you need to know for the rest of the season, though updates will be made throughout the campaign based on the ever-changing Premier League TV schedule.

RadioTimes.com brings you the full fixture list for the Premier League 2021/22 season including dates, times and TV channels as they are confirmed.

When does the Premier League 2021/22 season start?

The Premier League 2021/22 season starts on Friday 13th August 2021 with Brentford v Arsenal before most teams begin their campaign on Saturday 14th August.

This marks a return to the standard August-May calendar for the Premier League following a tricky year for the schedulers.

The season will end on Sunday 22nd May 2022.

Who are the Premier League teams in 2021/22?

Another batch of 20 teams will lock horns between August and May with three fresh faces ready to do battle in 2021/22.

Norwich and Watford return to the top flight following a quick stay in the Championship, while Brentford will feature in the top division of English football since 1947.

The European Super League implosion means Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal will continue to feature in the Premier League – and can expect a rough time from fans across the nation upon the return to action.

Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle are among the traditional top flight sides hoping for a brighter future while Leeds, West Ham and Leicester are three of the hottest teams in the top flight right now.

Wolves, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Southampton and Burnley will all hope for a brighter campaign after flopping last time out.
