The Alibi cat-and-mouse crime thriller is now coming to BBC One.
Cast your minds back to three years ago and you may remember that a certain crime drama debuted on Alibi, winning over viewers with its gripping plotline and big-name talent both in front of and behind the camera.
Well, We Hunt Together is returning to our screens this June 2023 – so whether you managed to catch it the first time round or are tuning in for the first time, set your reminders for season 1 airing on BBC One next week.
The six-part season follows the cat-and-mouse chase between a couple who discover they have a mutual lust for violence, and a pair of police detectives attempting to track them down. But as the synopsis teases: “To catch a killer, become a killer.”
Torchwood star Eve Myles is one of the show’s leads as detective Lola Franks and the series is written by Gaby Hull, whose previous work includes ITV thriller Cheat.

We Hunt Together release date: When is it on TV?
We Hunt Together initially premiered on Alibi at 10pm back in May 2020 but is now re-airing on BBC One and iPlayer on Monday 26th June at 10.40pm.
The first season is comprised of six episodes which will air weekly on BBC One at the same time.

Leading the cast of We Hunt Together is Eve Myles as detective Lola Franks, who became a fan favourite for her starring role as Gwen Cooper in Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.
Myles previously said of the role: “As soon as I read the first two episodes, I fell in love. I felt that she was a lost soul and I felt sorry for her. I instantly wanted to love her, I instantly wanted to look after her and all those instincts I can bring into this character.”
Her police partner DI Jackson Mendy is played by Babou Ceesay, who has starred in Wolfe and also opposite Idris Elba in Sky Atlantic’s drama series Guerrilla, from Academy Award-winning writer John Ridley.
Dipo Ola plays former child soldier Baba, one half of the murderous couple at the heart of this story, who made a big impression in a season 5 episode of Inside No. 9 and has also appeared in Channel 4’s Baghdad Central, as well as Landscapers and COBRA.
Baba’s dangerous flame, Freddy, is played by Hermione Corfield, known for her appearances in action films like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, as well as ITV war drama The Halcyon.
Other cast members for We Hunt Together season 1 include Babirye Bukilwa as DC Dominique Parkes, Nigel Harman as Simon Goodbridge, Tom Andrews as Matt Bowers and Steffan Rhodri as Larry.

When a charismatic young woman with dark thoughts is attacked by an abusive man on a date, she is rescued by a former child soldier with violent tendencies. As it turns out, they’re a perfect match – something they realise after killing their first victim.
But, of course, it isn’t long before the police are on their trail. A chalk-and-cheese detective duo take on the case, in the hopes of catching the deadly lovers before they can strike again.
Is We Hunt Together made by the BBC?
We Hunt Together is produced by BBC Studios, but it is an original series that was made specifically for UKTV channel Alibi and was never shown on the BBC before.
Of course, the series has gone on to have critical success, leading it to be renewed for season 2, which aired in 2022. Now, in the style of other Alibi dramas like Annika, season 1 has jumped from Alibi to a primetime slot on BBC One.
