The Games 2022 has kicked off on ITV with a bang.
The show, which is a reboot of an old Channel 4 series, is a live sporting challenge featuring a range of celebrity contestants, from Love Island’s Wes Nelson and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton to newsreader Lucrezia Millarini.
But it’s former Harry Potter star Josh Herdman who has captured many fans’ attention.
Josh finished the 400m sprint in second place after Wes in the first episode of The Games on Monday 9th May.

The Games 2022 contestant Josh Herdman is a former Harry Potter star who played Gregory Goyle in the franchise alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.
Since then, the actor has gone on to pursue a career as an MMA fighter.
Josh competed in his first MMA fight in 2016, winning against Janusz Walachowski.
“I chose MMA because I love the sport. It’s raw, exciting and unpredictable,” he told Addicted MMA On The Road at the time.
“I find it more interesting than boxing although I appreciate the beauty and art in boxing,” he continued.
“It also made sense to move onto MMA because of my jujitsu training.”
Josh has also appeared in a handful of acting roles since his stint on Harry Potter, most recently starring in ITV drama White House Farm in 2020.
Who did Josh Herdman play in Harry Potter?
Josh played henchman Gregory Goyle in Harry Potter, one half of Draco Malfoy’s (Tom Felton) cupcake-obsessed sidekick duo Crabbe and Goyle.
The actor was one of only 14 people to star in all eight Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011.
When does The Games 2022 start?

The show began on Monday 9th May at 9pm on ITV.
The series, which is recorded live and hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff, will air nightly across the week until Friday 13th May.
The 12 celebrities will battle it out over the course of the week, with one man and one woman emerging as this year’s champions, but who will they be?
