Winter Love Island 2023 is upon us, and it certainly isn’t lacking on the drama front, with the brand new cast continually causing chaos.
Last night’s episode saw Tanya Manhenga ruffle a number of feathers as she declared her love once again for Shaq Muhammed in front of the whole villa.
Tanya had been coupled up with Shaq from day one, when the new singletons were welcomed by Maya Jama to the South African villa, but had her head turned in Casa Amor and chose to couple up with Martin Akinola.
However, last night’s episode (Monday 20th February) saw Tanya’s head swivel once again as she set her sights back on Shaq and ended things with Martin.
While Martin appeared to take the news well, it looks like things are about to get heated in tonight’s episode (Tuesday 21st February) as Martin rants at Tanya.
In a first-look clip released by ITV, Martin is seen saying: “Tanya, I mean, what the f***”
“You’re a liar, you’re not sincere, you made me look like I was dumb,” he continues.
Tanya is seen later walking towards him saying: “One thing you’re not gonna do, is call me a liar”.

Ahead of entering Love Island, Shaq said his reasons for going on the show were that he hasn’t “had the best luck with previous relationships”, adding: “So I thought, why not be in the sun and potentially meet the love of my life?”
He continued: “Hopefully I do come out with my future wife. The person I hope to marry one day. Hopefully she’s in the Villa.”

What is Shaq Muhammad looking for in a partner?
Shaq didn’t say what he’s looking for in a partner ahead of joining the show, but he did admit that his family and friends would say he’s quick to fall in love.
He explained: “I’m the type of person that wears my heart on my sleeve. If I find someone I click with, I fall very hard, very fast. Sometimes that can be a bad thing. I’m a very emotional person. It can be a blessing and a curse.”
He also revealed a particular love for a surprising romantic film – 2010’s Dear John starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried.
Shaq said: “Every time I watch Dear John I cry. That’s my favourite film. Any time I’m with someone and they say, ‘Let’s watch a romantic film’, I’m like, ‘How about Dear John, how does that sound?’”
