Jason Bateman has long been thought of as one of America\u2019s best comic actors, but with gritty Netflix thriller Ozark<\/a> he has proven himself to be a formidable dramatic talent as well.<\/p>\n

Following in the footsteps of Breaking Bad and Weeds, the series follows the strained relationships between a once-loving family as they are drawn further and further into illegal activity.<\/p>\n

In this case, the name of the game is money laundering, with the first season getting off to a dramatic start as financial adviser Marty Byrde (Bateman) botches a costly scheme for a dangerous drug cartel.<\/p>\n

Since then, things have only gotten more stressful for Marty and his wife Wendy (Laura Linney), who have drafted the help of local crook Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) to keep their heads above water.<\/p>\n
