When it comes to the BBC\u2019s drama output, 2022 has gotten off to a very strong start \u2013 with an array of such as including The Tourist<\/a>, The Responder<\/a> and Four Lives<\/a> all having impressed viewers so far.<\/p>\n

And one of the next series to arrive on our screens is brand new thriller Chloe, which is billed by the BBC as a \u201cmystery about obsession, deceit, identity, and grief\u201d.<\/p>\n

The six-parter is written by Sex Education<\/a> director Alice Seabright and boasts an impressive cast including stars from The Crown<\/a>, The Serpent, Gangs of London, and Poldark.<\/p>\n

Chloe release date<\/h2>\n

The series will premiere on Sunday 6th February<\/strong> \u2013 launching on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The exact broadcast time has not been disclosed at this stage \u2013 but we\u2019d expect it to air in a prime time evening slot, most likely 9pm.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, internationally the series is being released on Amazon Prime Video \u2013 who co-produced the series with the BBC.<\/p>\n

Chloe cast<\/h2>\n

The Crown star Erin Doherty leads the cast as Becky Green \u2013 a social media-obsessed woman from Bristol who has been incessantly watching the titular Chloe Fairbourne before she makes a startling discovery.<\/p>\n

Key supporting roles are played by Gangs of London\u2019s Pippa Bennett-Warner, Poldark\u2019s Jack Farthing, The Serpent\u2019s Billy Howle and Search Party\u2019s Brandon Michael Hall \u2013 while newcomer Alexander Eliot makes his debut.<\/p>\n

And the cast also includes Poppy Gilbert (Stay Close), Akshay Khanna (Grace), Lisa Palfrey (Cobra), Estella Daniels (Da Vinci\u2019s Demons) and Jach Christou (Penny on M.A.R.S.).<\/p>\n

The series tells the story of Bristol-based Becky Green, who takes on a new identity in a bid to uncover the mysterious death of a social media influencer whose seemingly perfect life she had been closely following.<\/p>\n

The official plot synopsis provided by the BBC reads: \u201cThe thriller follows Becky Green who has been watching Chloe Fairbourne (Poppy Gilbert) via her perfect social media images for some time; Chloe\u2019s charmed life, adoring husband and circle of high-achieving friends are always just a click away.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecky can\u2019t resist watching a life that contrasts so starkly with her own; a life spent caring for her mother, who has early-onset dementia, in their small seaside flat on the outskirts of Bristol. When Chloe dies suddenly, Becky assumes a new identity and infiltrates the enviable lives of Chloe\u2019s closest friends to find out what happened to her.\u201d<\/p>\n
