<\/p>
It looks like filming for Unforgotten<\/a> season 5 will begin soon, at least according to star Sanjeev Bhaskar.<\/p>\n The actor had previously hinted at where the crime drama\u2019s storyline would pick up<\/a> following the tragic death of Nicola Walker\u2019s DCI Cassie Stuart.<\/p>\n And now, Bhaskar, who is set to appear in a new season of Secrets of the Transport Museum from next week, confirmed that production would begin in two months during an exclusive chat with RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve seen all the scripts, in fact, because we start filming in about two months,\u201d he said. \u201cI think there are maybe some tweaks to go, but I\u2019ve seen the scripts.\u201d<\/p>\n He also confirmed that DI Sunny Khan is the same as ever. \u201cI haven\u2019t suddenly returned with a moustache and sort of like sideburns,\u201d he said \u2013 which will be a relief for fans to hear.<\/p> Those worried about Sunny\u2019s trusty backpack also have nothing to fear.<\/p>\n \u201cThe backpack is there. That\u2019s been enshrined,\u201d he confirmed.<\/p>\n There\u2019s no news yet as to when the crime drama might actually land on ITV, or who will be filling Cassie\u2019s shoes, for that matter. Creator Chris Lang previously told RadioTimes.com<\/strong> that Sunny\u2019s new partner in crime would definitely be another woman and a new character to the series.<\/p>\n \u201cI certainly have begun conceiving the character, yeah. I\u2019m actually working at the moment. And I had yeah, [the] script was commissioned before we even aired season 4,\u201d he said at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I\u2019ve kind of got a rough idea, obviously, who she is. It\u2019s an evolutionary process when you write both the series and the characters and they evolve over the course of the writing process, six months or so. So I have a pretty good idea who she was and who she is and what her story is. And yes, it\u2019s a woman.
