The pair are taking their relationship to the next level, but it looks like the fact they\u2019re from different worlds will provide a challenge \u2013 and plenty of hilarious moments.<\/p>\n
The Noting Hill-esque millennial romcom has been a huge hit for BBC Three, with the first series earning 5 million streams and counting. It has also found success across the pond thanks to HBO Max.<\/p>\n
But, if fans were hoping for Tom and Jessie\u2019s story to continue beyond Starstruck\u2019s current second season, they might be in for a shock.<\/p>
During a chat in this week\u2019s print issue of Radio Times<\/strong>, Matafeo revealed that she originally didn\u2019t have plans for a third season.<\/p>\n \u201cI always thought two and out; it\u2019s the British way,\u201d the New Zealander said.<\/p>\n However, that might have changed, and fans have Stath Lets Flats<\/a> to thank.<\/p>\n \u201cBut then Stath Lets Flats had an amazing third series\u2026\u201d Matafeo added. \u201cI will go wherever I can make work that I\u2019m proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n So there\u2019s hope for a third run yet.<\/p>\n The fact that season two has secured some high-profile guest stars also bodes well for another run, even if Matafeo is still starstruck about it: \u201cI still can\u2019t believe we got Minnie Driver for the first series and that she returned for the second. Or that we convinced Russell Tovey to be in season 2.
