In Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus<\/a>, one of the side quests that you\u2019ll pick up from the professor\u2019s blackboard is Request 66: The Sea\u2019s Legend \u2014 completing this quest will lead to you catching a legendary water Pok\u00e9mon called Manaphy.<\/p>\n

Fun fact: this quest was first referenced in Pok\u00e9mon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl<\/a>, where a summary of this sub-story was included in an in-game book.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve picked up The Sea\u2019s Legend in Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus and you\u2019re not sure what to do in order to tick this request off your list, you\u2019ve come to the right place in search of answers.<\/p>\n

How to catch the Pok\u00e9mon you need for The Sea\u2019s Legend quest<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In order to progress with The Sea\u2019s Legend quest and see it through to its watery conclusion, you\u2019ll need to catch three specific Pok\u00e9mon first \u2014 you need a Buizel, a Mantyke and an Overqwil.<\/p>\n

Buizel<\/strong> can be found at several locations in Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus. Head to Obsidian Fieldlands and explore the Horseshoe Plains, Windswept Run or Worn Bridge, and you should find yourself a Buizel fairly easily.<\/p>\n

To catch a Mantyke<\/strong> in Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus, travel to the Cobalt Coastline and look around the Ginkgo Landing or Tranquility Cove areas. That\u2019s where they\u2019re known to be found.<\/p>\n

Overqwil<\/strong> can be caught during the main story of Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus, but if you don\u2019t have that one, you\u2019ll need to catch a Qwilfish instead and evolve it into an Overqwil.<\/p>\n

You should be able to catch a Qwilfish in the Cobalt Coastlands, specifically in the Tranquility Cove, Lunker\u2019s Lair or Islespy Shore segments of that region.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019ve got a Qwilfish, you need to make it use the move Barb Barrage in the Strong Style a total of 20 times. Once you\u2019ve done that, you\u2019ll be able to evolve it into a Qwilfish.<\/p>

How to finish The Sea\u2019s Legend in Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Now that you\u2019ve caught Buziel, Mantyke and Overqwil, put all three of them in your party and head to Cobalt Coastlands. Make sure it\u2019s the evening when you do so \u2014 you can speak to the Galactic Team member at any campsite to change the time of day, if you need to.<\/p>\n

Once it\u2019s evening and you\u2019re in the Cobalt Coastlands, swim out to the hand-shaped coastline and look for the two big rocks that should be poking out of the water nearby. Swim between them, and a dialogue box should pop up on the screen to alert you to a rumbling sound nearby.<\/p>\n

That sound was a cave opening nearby. It\u2019s called Seaside Hollow, and it\u2019s a little further north than your previous position. You\u2019ll find Manaphy inside Seaside Hollow, along with a bunch of wild Phione. Approach them, whack them twice, and a battle will begin. Catch that Manaphy and you\u2019ll finish The Sea\u2019s Legend request in Pok\u00e9mon Legends Arceus.<\/p>\n
