Welcome back to The Mandalorian<\/a> season three\u2026no, wait, sorry, The Book of Boba Fett<\/a>\u2026as we head towards the grand(ish) finale.<\/p>\n

Yes, it\u2019s fair to say that the last couple of episodes have been more interested in that OTHER helmeted Disney Plus bounty hunter (the one that sounds like Pedro Pascal), with poor old Boba barely speaking two lines as we grind towards his last clash with the Pyke syndicate. But who knows? With one last episode to wrap everything up, this could be where Boba finally gets to become the hero of his own story.<\/p>\n

For this week\u2019s episode we\u2019ll be following all the twists and turns of the action, reacting in real time to what happens as soon as the new instalment drops on Disney Plus at 8:00AM GMT. And after the penultimate episode included cameos from Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane AND Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), it\u2019s safe to say we\u2019re hoping for even more familiar faces this time round. Check below for the latest updates!<\/p>

09.14am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, of course, the big question is whether there might be a Book of Boba Fett season two<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Based on how this episode ends, I\u2019d say it could go either way. Boba has successfully \u201cgone straight\u201d and fought off bad guys, and become the beloved crime boss he\u2019d always wanted to be. The story could end there (there are no loose ends) but the show also assembles a clear cast of colleagues around Boba (Krrsantan, the mods) hinting that perhaps we could see more of these characters.<\/p>\n

And of course, there\u2019s the Cobb Vanth of it all. Presumably, his recovery could be covered in The Mandalorian season three or another Star Wars series, but we suppose it\u2019s possible that Boba will play a part in it \u2013 after all, Cobb is in HIS bacta tank.<\/p>\n

09.11am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

So with the series in the rearview mirror, what are our thoughts?<\/p>\n

Overall I\u2019m giving it a considered \u201cmeh\u201d. True, there were a couple of good episodes in there\u2026but they were episodes of The Mandalorian where Boba barely featured. And yes this final episode was an action spectacular with plenty of cool scenes I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll enjoy revisiting (especially when I\u2019m not writing it all up live), but I didn\u2019t really care enough about (most of) the characters to make it all seem worthwhile.<\/p>\n

09.04am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I guess those rumours about Emilia Clarke<\/a> or Samuel L Jackson turning up weren\u2019t true. Admittedly they did seem like a long shot, but we had CAD BANE in live-action, so it seemed like bets are off really.<\/p>\n

08.55am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Post-credits scene! Looks like Cobb Vanth is still alive after all, and about to get some modifications\u2026guess we\u2019ll be seeing some more of Timothy Olyphant in the Star Wars Disney Plus universe.<\/p>\n

Might have expected some more teases for what\u2019s next, to be honest\u2026<\/p>\n

08:52am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, Boba\u2019s getting some respect \u2013 and he\u2019s still not happy. The Wookiee gets a medal, and nobody else, in a neat reversal\u2026<\/p>\n

But all we really care about is Baby Yoda getting to sit in his little seat in the Naboo starfighter, and bullying his dad into doing zoomies.<\/p>\n

08.50am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hey, remember that Fennec was heading off to take out the Syndicate bosses? it took her so long that she basically doesn\u2019t need to bother any more, but here she is anyway.<\/p>\n

The Pykes were about to give up on Tatooine anyway and head off-world, but just in case they got any ideas about coming back\u2026well, they\u2019ll probably get the message. Same goes for the traitorous crime families.<\/p>\n

08.48am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Huh, turns out unleashing a massive monster on Tatooine wasn\u2019t the best idea as it\u2019s now destroying Mos Espa. As Boba moons around thinking about old times, presumably, Mando tries to get it under control\u2026unsuccessfully.<\/p>\n

Luckily, Grogu is here to step in and use a Jedi mind trick\u2026or rather, animal friendship\u2026and everyone survived.<\/p>\n

08.46am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Boba vs Cad\u2026to be honest,\u00a0I forgot he was still kicking around! Anyway, after a bit of macho posturing Cad managed to beat him in a shoot-out and lay out some lessons\u2026until Boba\u2019s Tusken Raider training kicked in for a bit of old-fashioned stick fighting.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re confused at all by this pair\u2019s backstory, Cad basically took Boba under his wing after his father died, as seen in The Clone Wars animated series \u2013 you can check out that storyline in the show on Disney Plus.<\/p>\n

08.40am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

OK, now after some fireworks they\u2019ve taken down the other droid too. The Pykes are on the run! Who knew Rancors made such effective war machines?<\/p>\n

Or rather, were effective until Cad Bane shot a bit of fire in their faces.<\/p>\n

08.36am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

OK, they\u2019ve taken away one gun and the forcefield from the big droid, but it\u2019s still dangerous\u2026until Grogu uses the force to injure one of its legs a little bit. Cool, I guess?<\/p>\n
