There\u2019s a Nintendo Direct happening today! Announced in fairly last-minute fashion, the show will take place quite late tonight from the perspective of fans in the UK.<\/p>\n

As long-terms fans will already know, Nintendo Direct live stream events are always hosted on Nintendo\u2019s official YouTube channel, and it is always free to watch the action from home.<\/p>\n

As we mentally prepare ourselves for tonight\u2019s showcase of upcoming Nintendo Switch games, then, check out the Nintendo Direct details below.<\/p>\n

When is the next Nintendo Direct?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The next Nintendo Direct will take place on\u00a0Wednesday 9th February 2022<\/strong>, the marketing team from Nintendo has confirmed. In other words, then, it\u2019s taking place today!<\/p>\n
What is the Nintendo Direct UK start time today?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Today\u2019s Nintendo Direct will start at 10pm GMT<\/strong> from a UK time zone perspective \u2013 that\u2019s the time you\u2019ll want to tune in from British shores! You might be up slightly later than your usual bedtime, then.<\/p>\n
How to watch Nintendo Direct today<\/strong><\/h2>\n
As ever, you can watch this Nintendo Direct live stream for free on YouTube. The placeholder video has already been published, so all you need to do when 10pm strikes is click into the YouTube player below:<\/p>\n\n<h2>What new Nintendo Switch games will be shown at Nintendo Direct today?<\/strong><\/h2>\nTeasing tonight\u2019s Nintendo Direct on <a href=\"\/\/twitter.com\/NintendoUK\/status\/1491049836799528960"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>, Nintendo has promised \u201croughly 40 minutes of information mainly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching in the first half of 2022\u201d.<\/p>\nBecause of this focus on games that are coming relatively soon, we would be very surprised if The Legend of Zelda: <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-sequel-release-date-trailer\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Breath of the Wild 2<\/a> made a meaningful appearance here. After all, we\u2019ve been working on the assumption that BotW 2 is a little bit further off than that.<\/p>\nMuch more likely to appear, in our opinion, is Square Enix\u2019s Triangle Strategy, a game of tactical battling that will launch exclusively on Switch in March 2022.<\/p>\nChocobo GP, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Rune Factory 5 and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/marvel-midnight-suns-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Marvel\u2019s Midnight Suns<\/a> are other games we\u2019ve been told to expect on Nintendo Switch next month, so we wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see any of those appear.<\/p>\nNintendo\u2019s exclusive Kirby and the Forgotten Land game is pegged for 25th March 2022, so that seems like an obvious inclusion for this show as well.<\/p> Coming even sooner than that is Assassin\u2019s Creed: The Ezio Collection, which launches on Switch later this month. Perhaps Ubisoft will stop by with a new trailer for that.<\/p>\nLooking slightly further into the future, <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/lego-star-wars-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga<\/a>, MLB The Show 22, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim are all expected on Switch in April, while <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/evil-dead-game-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Evil Dead: The Game<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/two-point-campus-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Two Point Campus<\/a> are both slated for May.<\/p>\nOf course, Nintendo has a habit of bringing surprising things to these shows, so we can\u2019t 100 per cent rule out an appearance from Zelda, Mario or the Pok\u00e9mon franchise.
