<\/p>
Martin Compston has opened up about filming intimate scenes for ITV\u2019s Our House, revealing that he still finds them a challenging part of the job.<\/p>\n
The new drama sees the Line of Duty<\/a> star teams up with Tuppence Middleton (Sense8<\/a>) to play an estranged husband and wife, with the storyline delving into what exactly drove them apart.<\/p>\n The two leads were required to shoot sex scenes for the project, which Compston admitted he still finds daunting even this far into his established career (as reported by The Sun<\/a>).<\/p>\n He said: \u201cLook, they\u2019re always awkward. I mean, you\u2019re getting your kit off and doing that kind of thing in front of a room full of people.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s never something you look forward to. But at the same time you\u2019ve got to commit to it. You want to make it real. So it\u2019s awkward.\u201d<\/p> Compston continued: \u201cBut you really need to go for it once you\u2019re in the moment. There used to be an old attitude which I suppose is of its time which was, \u2018Oh, just get on with it \u2014 just do it\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cBut you kind of need to be aware of everybody\u2019s boundaries, what everybody is comfortable with.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor went on to praise the involvement of the show\u2019s intimacy co-ordinator, who he compares to a fight scene choreographer in how meticulously each detail is planned.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cUsually it\u2019s you worrying about where you put your hand, or what you do. But somebody talks you both through everything, then it makes it a lot easier. But it\u2019s still awkward, don\u2019t get me wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n Our House is coming soon to ITV.
