Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> to promote his Irish crime drama Kin, Cox revealed that he is aware of plans for him to appear on-screen again as the Man without Fear.<\/p>\n \u201cI know something,\u201d he hinted. \u201cI don\u2019t know much, but I know there will be something else.\u201d<\/p>\n Having wrapped on Daredevil two years prior, Cox was approached about appearing in the latest Spider-Man movie \u201cmidway through 2020\u201d \u2013 but he later feared that his triumphant return might not materialise after all.<\/p> \u201cI got a phone call saying, \u2018Do you want to come back? Do you want to be in Spider-Man?\u2019 and I was like, \u2018Obviously, yeah! That would be amazing. I\u2019m thrilled. I\u2019d love to do that.\u2019 They said \u2018Great, we\u2019ll be in touch.\u2019 and then I didn\u2019t hear anything for, like, two months! I did get to the point where I was like, \u2018Did I dream this?\u2019 \u2013 I definitely got to the point where I was, like, \u2018I don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna happen.\u2019 But then I got a follow-up phone call.\u201d<\/p>\n Cox\u2019s Murdock appears in a single scene in the film, offering Peter Parker (Tom Holland) legal advice after Spider-Man\u2019s secret identity has been revealed to the world. Though fans have speculated as to whether the character was ever lined up to have a larger role, Cox confirmed to RadioTimes.com<\/strong> that his part was \u201calways a very small little cameo\u201d.<\/p>\n His appearance wasn\u2019t revealed in any promotional material prior to the film\u2019s release, with fans getting to enjoy the surprise together at the cinema. Cox even snuck into one screening to witness the reaction first-hand \u2013 though it wasn\u2019t quite what he\u2019d been hoping for\u2026<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s funny, I got so many text messages and so many calls about that moment in the cinema. My nephew sent me a recording of everyone cheering.
