Boris Johnson will address the nation this morning amid Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine before addressing MPs this afternoon.<\/p>\n

It comes after Mr Johnson led a crisis meeting of senior ministers and officials to consider the response to Vladimir Putin\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

He will also speak to fellow G7 leaders and is calling for an urgent meeting of all NATO leaders as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

The prime minister has described Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine as a \u201ccatastrophe for our continent\u201d, and is expected to announce further sanctions against Russia.<\/p>\n

He tweeted: \u201cThis is a catastrophe for our continent.<\/p>\n
