<\/p>
Robert Pattinson is the latest big-name star to try on the Batsuit in the upcoming film The Batman<\/a> \u2013 and it sounds like the actor was able to rely on a little bit of help from a previous Bruce Wayne.<\/p>\n Speaking at a virtual press conference to promote the film, Pattinson told RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press that he had run into Christian Bale while he was preparing for the role,<\/p>\n And it sounds like the star \u2013 who famously played Batman in Christopher Nolan\u2019s hugely successful The Dark Knight trilogy \u2013 had a few kind words for him.<\/p>\n \u201cI bumped into Christian Bale very briefly, and he was very nice about what to expect and stuff,\u201d he explained.<\/p> But despite that encounter, Pattinson said he did not go out of his way to speak to other actors who have played Batman, in part because there simply wasn\u2019t enough time.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, you\u2019re so nervous about doing it,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then once the ball\u2019s rolling, it was just non-stop for the entire time, like we didn\u2019t really have any time to think about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, he also joked: \u201cI don\u2019t like feeling like a baby. I don\u2019t ask advice, I don\u2019t ask questions\u2026questions are for losers!<\/p>\n \u201cIf you don\u2019t speak, maybe no-one will know you don\u2019t know what you\u2019re doing\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Pattinson leads an extremely impressive cast for the new film, with the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis all playing iconic Gotham characters.<\/p>\n He follows in the footsteps of Bale, Ben Affleck, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Michael Keaton in playing the Caped Crusader.<\/p>\n The Batman is released in UK cinemas on Friday 4th March.
