For those viewers who wished Killing Eve could continue for a fifth or even sixth season, you\u2019re not the only one \u2013 original cast member Kim Bodnia (The Bridge) feels the same.<\/p>\n
However, he also teased that the conclusion to Eve and Villanelle\u2019s relationship was likely key to why the show\u2019s behind-the-scenes team had decided that now was the time to wrap on the series.<\/p>\n
Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/strong>, the Danish actor said: \u201cI mean, like everybody else watching this show, [I\u2019m thinking] \u2018Why end [the show]?\u2019,\u201d before continuing: \u201c[The series] is working is fine, and is new. And it\u2019s like, \u2018Why don\u2019t we keep on going?’\u201d<\/p>\n
On the series finally reaching a conclusion on Eve and Villanelle\u2019s relationship, he said that the \u201cjourney\u201d of the two characters needed \u201csome kind of end because it is so complex. And I think that the writers and everybody must have agreed that it is [a] complex relationship, and where to go with it, and when it\u2019s time to end it and when it\u2019s time to say that we can\u2019t go deeper into all this complexity of these feelings.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo probably they have that in mind and [are] saying, \u2018Okay, it\u2019s time\u2019. But for me, as I kind of miss this family, you know, so it\u2019s easier for me to say, \u2018Let\u2019s keep on going\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, he alluded further to those complexities surrounding that central relationship between the two female characters. \u201cWe love them. It\u2019s so complex. As a fan, it\u2019s complex to love people that are behaving so badly,\u201d Bodnia said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so complex, hoping that they can have this happy ending. But there\u2019s many ways to come up with a happy ending. So in this world, many ways of ending could be happy, you know? Yeah, [the show] absolutely could surprise us in any way\u2026 for these two people.\u201d<\/p>\n
AMC Networks president of originals, Dan McDermott, previously said in a statement: \u201cKilling Eve exploded in popular culture and attracted a dedicated and committed fan base from its very first episode.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cPhoebe Waller-Bridge\u2019s brilliant adaptation of the source material, the unforgettable characters are given life by Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, and the entire cast, along with our partners at Sid Gentle Films, have delivered a one-of-a-kind roller-coaster ride that has taken our breath away.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Hollywood Reporter also previously reported that a spin-off may be in the works (fingers crossed!): \u201cAMC Networks is working closely with Killing Eve producers Sid Gentle Films to develop potential spin-off ideas that will explore the larger world of the show.\u201d<\/p>\n
