Glastonbury Festival is set to make a triumphant comeback in 2022 after being cancelled two years in a row.<\/p>\n

The UK festival was scrapped in both 2020 and 2021 thanks to the coronavirus pandemic,\u00a0but the huge music event is going ahead this year.<\/p>\n

And now, Paul McCartney, Kenrick Lamar, Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Foals and Wolf Alice have been announced among the acts performing at this summer\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n

In total, 89 names have been added to the exciting line-up so far, alongside previously-announced headliner Billie Eilish.<\/p>\n

McCartney will perform on the famous Pyramid Stage on Saturday 25th June, exactly one week after he turns 80.<\/p>\n

The Beatles icon had previously been scheduled to headline the 2020 event before it was called off due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he finally confirmed, we were beyond [excited],\u201d organiser Emily Eavis told the BBC<\/a>. \u201cFor us, having Paul McCartney is obviously a dream, a huge moment in our history. It means the world getting Paul McCartney to Glastonbury.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

McCartney is set to become the festival\u2019s oldest ever headliner, while\u00a0the Friday night headliner Eilish will be the festival\u2019s youngest ever solo headliner.<\/p>\n

Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar will close the festival on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

The music festival shared the official line-up on Twitter on Friday 4th March.<\/p>\n
