No Time to Die actress Lashana Lynch has won the Rising Star Award at tonight\u2019s BAFTA Film Awards 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n The star gave an emotional speech as she accepted her award from Lady Gaga and last year\u2019s Rising Star winner Rocks actress Bukky Bakray.<\/p>\n \u201cI have very supportive whose parents came over here during the Windrush generation, I have them to thank for my existence,\u201d Lynch said. \u201cI\u2019m grateful for a working-class foundation which has taught me everything about failure, about \u2018nos\u2019, about what \u2018no\u2019 means, and how to celebrate your \u2018yeses\u2019. I now get to celebrate a \u2018yes\u2019 I never expected.<\/p>\n \u201cLovely friends, who always remind me of my power and how to stand in it. And the women of this country who taught me what it\u2019s like to be in this industry as a dark-skinned woman.
