The series is always diving into untapped corners of the North East, showcasing the very best of Newcastle, Northumberland and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just love it,\u201d says Blethyn. \u201cI love the people up there, too. There is a difference between the friendliness of the North and the South \u2013 I don\u2019t care what anybody says.\u201d The Geordies have certainly taken her to their hearts. \u201cThat\u2019s the main compliment, really, that the people of the North East like Vera.\u201d<\/p>\n
