After an agonising wait lasting almost three years, Derry Girls is finally returning to Channel 4 and we have your exclusive first look at the brand new trailer.<\/p>\n

The smash-hit sitcom tells the story of a group of teenagers growing up in Northern Ireland towards the end of the Troubles, with certain real-life historical events weaved into the plot of the episodes.<\/p>\n

The full Derry Girls cast<\/a> are returning for this final instalment in the series, which will bring the story of Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Orla (Louisa Harland), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O\u2019Donnell) and Clare (Bridgerton\u2019s Nicola Coughlan) to an end.<\/p>\n

Check out the Derry Girls<\/a> season 3 trailer below:<\/p>\n\nAside from the titular group of girls, the series has also introduced viewers to several other beloved characters, including Dylan Llewellyn as fish-out-of-water English schoolboy James and Siobh\u00e1n McSweeney as strict headmistress Sister Michael.<\/p>\nThere will also be some new faces introduced in Derry Girls season 3, with <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/brassic-season-4-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Brassic<\/a> star Damien Molony being featured in this exciting new trailer.<\/p>\nIt looks as if he\u2019ll be playing a plumber who is hired to do some work for the Quinn family \u2013 and it\u2019s safe to say he gets quite the reception.<\/p>\nIn a gossipy discussion with her sister, Sarah (Kathy Kiera Clarke) says: \u201cIf you\u2019re that hot, you should at least have the common decency to be a bit thick.\u201d<\/p> It\u2019s among the many jokes crammed into the new teaser, which ends with the main cast taking refuge in someone\u2019s bedroom at a time of apparent crisis.<\/p>\nJames laments: \u201cI\u2019m going to die a virgin.\u201d<\/p>\nTo which Michelle responds: \u201cThat was always on the cards, to be fair.\u201d<\/p>\nDerry Girls season 3 is coming soon to Channel 4.
