However, the mood abruptly changes when Littner turns his attention to Akhtar\u2019s logo-filled proposal \u2013 which he calls \u201ca bloody disgrace\u201d and kicks him out of the meeting. Unsurprisingly, he didn\u2019t make it to the next round.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Linda Plant calls \u201cbulls**t\u201d and Richard Woods agrees<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In 2015, Linda Plant dubbed Richard Woods\u2019 business plan \u201cbulls**t\u2019, as he claimed his company was going to make \u00a33 million by year three, despite his previous business having only made \u00a317,000 in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of defending himself, Woods admitted the plan contained a lot of \u201cwaffle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel that you are the type of guy that thinks he can write a lot of bullshit and no-one will see the truth underneath,\u201d Linda said, to which Woods responded: \u201cI think I\u2019m agreeing with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s safe to say he didn\u2019t win!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Liar, liar pants on fire<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Another interview we still think about today is Daniel Elahi\u2019s back in 2018. During the conversation with Mike Soutar, Elahi was asked how many of his hangover-curing sticks he\u2019d sold in the last year, to which he responded: \u201cAbout 47,000.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soutar then showed Elahi his business page on Amazon, which claimed he had sold over one million pieces and asked how that figure ended up on the website.<\/p>\n<p>Elahi was reluctant to admit he was responsible for writing the statement, at first saying he \u201ccould have\u201d written it, before saying it was \u201c90 per cent likely\u201d, and then finally revealing that yes he actually did write it.<\/p>\n<p>But what made this interview even funnier is when Elahi left the meeting room, he bragged to the other candidates about how \u201ceasy\u201d it was.<\/p>\n<iframe title=\"&quot;Another\" lying=\"\" candidate=\"\" caught=\"\" out=\"\" during=\"\" the=\"\" apprentice=\"\" interview=\"\" width=\"&quot;200&quot;\" height=\"&quot;113&quot;\" src=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hnoAluxx00k?feature=oembed&quot;\" frameborder=\"&quot;0&quot;\" allow=\"&quot;accelerometer;\" autoplay=\"\" clipboard-write=\"\" encrypted-media=\"\" gyroscope=\"\" picture-in-picture=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"\"\/>\n<h2><strong>Lewis Ellis attempts to go global<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When it comes to presenting a business plan on Th Apprentice, it\u2019s vital that you know what you\u2019re talking about as the interviewers can definitely see through the lies. And Mike Soutar wasn\u2019t letting anything get past him when he interviewed Lewis Ellis in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis, who had a travel business idea, stated that he wanted to take his customers on a resort in Croatia, but when Mike asked him to point out where Croatia was on the map, he didn\u2019t have a clue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe point is\u2026 I\u2019ve never seen that globe before. The face-offs begin tonight from 9pm on <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/twitter.com\/BBCOne?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&quot;\">@BBCOne<\/a> ????<a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TheApprentice?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&quot;\">#TheApprentice<\/a> <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/t.co\/3HyaWczErH&quot;\">pic.twitter.com\/3HyaWczErH<\/a><\/p>\u2014 The Apprentice (@bbcapprentice) <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/twitter.com\/bbcapprentice\/status\/1204676653986783233?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&quot;\">December 11, 2019<\/a><\/blockquote><script async=\"\" src=\"&quot;https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js&quot;\" charset=\"&quot;utf-8&quot;\"\/><h2>Ricky Martin\u00a0 gets grilled<\/h2>\n<p>Ricky Martin might have won the 2012 series, but that wasn\u2019t before Claude gave him a serious grilling as he said that he wanted to \u201cteach an old dog new tricks\u201d \u2013 the \u201cold dog\u201d being his soon-t0-be business partner Lord Sugar LOL.<\/p>\n<p>Claude was far from impressed, calling Martin an \u201carrogant fool.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"&quot;primary-cli\" cli=\"\" cli-text=\"\">\n<h2><strong>Elizabeth McKenna and Linda face off<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Back in 2017, Elizabeth McKenna kept us all entertained with her catchy one-liners, and during the interview stage, she didn\u2019t hold back as Linda questioned her about her flower business.<\/p>\n<p>During the heated exchange, Linda accused Elizabeth of being \u201cexceptionally aggressive\u201d and \u201carrogant\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>But the best part was when Linda told Liz that the flowers on her site didn\u2019t look that special, to which she simply responded: \u201cWell I thank you for that.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Pamela Laird\u2019s missing delivery<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Pamela Laird was left pretty embarrassed in 2019 when her products didn\u2019t arrive in time for her interview with Mike Soutar.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty brand owner\u2019s website had stated that delivery for products in the UK would arrive in around four days, but little did she know that Mike had tested this out for himself.<\/p>\n<p>During the chat, Mike revealed that he hadn\u2019t received the items and it had been 11 days since he place his order.<\/p>\n<p>To try and resolve the situation, Pamela decided to take down Mike\u2019s order number on her hand and \u201cchase\u201d it up. Not the best start, you could say!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Best Apprentice moments<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Sumo suits Ultimate Team-Building<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Apprentice was never short of ridiculous moments \u2013 case in point, Leah Totton\u2019s strange team-building day in series nine, which saw two of her teammates fight one another in sumo suits to teach a group of office workers about business conflict. The bewildered audience can hardly contain their laughter as eventual series winner Leah, who\u2019s dressed in what looks like a Peter Pan costume, stands awkwardly in front of the staged scuffle.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Simon Ambrose\u2019s ill-placed trampoline leg<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Internet entrepreneur Simon Ambrose may have eventually won The Apprentice\u2019s third series, but he didn\u2019t emerge victorious without enduring his fair share of embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the funniest moments the BBC series has ever seen, poor Simon is presenting for his team in a shopping channel challenge and decides to test out a \u00a369.99 miniature trampoline, before demonstrating how easy it is to assemble by twisting its legs into place whilst holding the bouncer in a somewhat suggestive position. \u201cWhat are you bloody doing!\u201d exclaims a bemused Alan Sugar, who\u2019s watching from another room. I don\u2019t think any of us truly want to know\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>Jason Leech escapes to the shopfront<\/h2>\n<iframe title=\"&quot;Jason's\" sales=\"\" technique=\"\" the=\"\" apprentice:=\"\" you=\"\" fired=\"\" series=\"\" episode=\"\" bbc=\"\" two=\"\" width=\"&quot;200&quot;\" height=\"&quot;113&quot;\" src=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NFlN0H1y-3o?feature=oembed&quot;\" frameborder=\"&quot;0&quot;\" allow=\"&quot;accelerometer;\" autoplay=\"\" clipboard-write=\"\" encrypted-media=\"\" gyroscope=\"\" picture-in-picture=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"\"\/>\n<p>Series nine contestant Jason Leech and his eccentric sales techniques didn\u2019t impress his fellow teammates, who kept the historian\/property entrepreneur in the back of the shop during a challenge that required them to sell produce.<\/p>\n<p>However, much to his teammates\u2019 dismay, Leech continued to advance towards wary customers in the street, telling them to buy a \u201csad pack of potatoes\u201d to \u201cmake them happy\u201d. Despite his odd approach to customer interaction, Leech made it all the way to the ninth task in the series.<\/p>\n<h2>Pantsman<\/h2>\n<p>Series five of The Apprentice truly gave us the song of a generation with Philip Taylor\u2019s Pantsman \u2013 the estate agent\u2019s superhero mascot for cereal. This angel-voiced contestant only needed one take to record the jingle for his group\u2019s advert, however, it didn\u2019t leave a (positive) lasting impression with Lord Sugar, who fired Phil two weeks later.<\/p>\n<h2>Susan Ma knows nothing about France<\/h2>\n<p>During series seven, Karren Brady wasn\u2019t very impressed with Susan Ma\u2019s stream of questions about French people. \u201cAre the French eco-friendly?, \u201cDo the French go camping?\u201d, \u201cAre the French very fond of their children?\u201d, \u201cDo a lot of people drive in France?\u201d While it sounded as though she was reeling off her Google search history prior to jumping on the Eurostar, the skincare entrepreneur was actually trying to get to grips with her market audience, adding: \u201cI honestly know nothing about the French and their culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Best seller\u2019 Scott Sanders makes a meal of a sales pitch<\/h2>\n<iframe title=\"&quot;Candidate\" delivers=\"\" most=\"\" awkward=\"\" sales=\"\" pitch=\"\" ever=\"\" on=\"\" the=\"\" apprentice=\"\" uk=\"\" width=\"&quot;200&quot;\" height=\"&quot;113&quot;\" src=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nKHaTPEONNg?feature=oembed&quot;\" frameborder=\"&quot;0&quot;\" allow=\"&quot;accelerometer;\" autoplay=\"\" clipboard-write=\"\" encrypted-media=\"\" gyroscope=\"\" picture-in-picture=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"\"\/>\n<p>Series 11\u2019s Scott Sanders and Brett Butler-Smythe seemed as though they were on their way to smash their first apartment pitch at Printworks in Clapham, describing themselves as \u201ctwo of the best-sellers\u201d on the show. However, viewers quickly became aware that Scott had somewhat oversold his haggling abilities. In a scene that could have been taken straight from scripted sitcom Stath Lets Flats, Scott showed a potential buyer around the showroom, failing to differentiate between the washing machine and fridge freezer, before forgetting when the flats are due to be built.<\/p>\n<h2>Rachel Grove\u2019s bizarre pitch dance<\/h2>\n<p>Some of the funniest moments from The Apprentice came from its very first series, such as Rachel Grove\u2019s groovy sales pitch, which former aide Nick Hewer described as \u201cone of the most horrible experience [he\u2019s] ever had to endure\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The moment saw charity fundraiser Groves try to excite her audience by dancing around the room, kicking off her shoes and fling her skirt about in one of the most cringeworthy scenes in Apprentice history. Somehow, she made it all the way to Week 6 before Lord Sugar showed her the door.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Katie Hopkins\u2019 dramatic exit<\/h2>\n<iframe title=\"&quot;The\" apprentice=\"\" katie=\"\" hopkins=\"\" quits=\"\" week=\"\" bbc=\"\" one=\"\" width=\"&quot;200&quot;\" height=\"&quot;150&quot;\" src=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fu-itZS2I0Y?feature=oembed&quot;\" frameborder=\"&quot;0&quot;\" allow=\"&quot;accelerometer;\" autoplay=\"\" clipboard-write=\"\" encrypted-media=\"\" gyroscope=\"\" picture-in-picture=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"\"\/>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to forget that controversial media personality Katie Hopkins got her start on The Apprentice in 2006, but what\u2019s unforgettable is her sudden exit during the show\u2019s semi-final. After Alan Sugar questioned her commitment following her unenthusiastic response to make it to the final three, the former Met Office employee decided to \u201cstand down\u201d and left the boardroom voluntarily.<\/p>\n<h2>The wolf jacket<\/h2>\n<p>This classic clip from The Apprentice\u2019s very first series saw Saira Khan and James Max sort through items they were tasked with selling on a TV shopping channel, however, it was one particular jumper that caught their attention \u2013 a unisex fleece with two wolves pictured on the front. The jumper left James Max howling with unstoppable laughter before trying it on for himself.<\/p>\n<h2>Solomon\u2019s obsession with Stevie the skeleton<\/h2>\n<p>Series 10\u2019s Solomon makes our list once again, with his handsy approach to Stevie the skeleton, a \u00a3260 model skeleton which Soloman attempted to haggle over.
