Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne has teased that Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) has \u201cnothing to lose\u201d going forward in the sixth season, making him \u201ca very dangerous man indeed\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about the evolution of the series<\/a> season-to-season, he revealed that \u201cseason 6 is a character piece about the darkness of Tommy Shelby\u2019s soul\u201d \u2013 and be warned, there are full spoilers ahead for the season so far<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are the obvious issues of grief and mourning that are permeating the season,\u201d noted Byrne. \u201cWith particular regard to the death of Polly and the death of Helen McCrory. But then the death of Ruby, which was always in the script, so it\u2019s a double whammy.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that we\u2019ve reached the midpoint of the season, and you\u2019ve kind of now really broken him\u2026 [after] episode 3, I was getting a lot of feedback from people, just texts from friends who are not in the business, just going, \u2018Oh f**k, this is it, this is the beginning of the end.\u2019 Now he\u2019s going to lose his s**t, basically.\u201d<\/p>

He continued: \u201cI know obviously what\u2019s going to happen, and they don\u2019t. But you\u2019re kind of going, \u2018Yeah, now it\u2019s really kind of unpredictable, because Tommy Shelby, he has nothing to lose\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, you know, a man with nothing to lose, especially somebody like him, is a very dangerous man indeed. So, I think that\u2019s definitely a huge part of what\u2019s going to happen in the next three episodes.\u201d<\/p>\n
