<\/p>
Brand new MCU series Moon Knight<\/a> is arriving on Disney Plus very soon \u2013 and it sounds like it could be one of Marvel\u2019s deepest projects yet.<\/p>\n In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, star May Calamawy \u2013 who plays Layla El-Faouly on the series \u2013 explained how the show isn\u2019t afraid to explore some challenging subject matter.<\/p>\n \u201cIt gets psychologically confronting, I would say,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd as someone who, like, goes to therapy all the time, and really dives deep into the mind, I\u2019m fascinated by it. But I\u2019m sure it will feel like a lot to someone who\u2019s not generally doing that.<\/p>\n \u201cLike, I don\u2019t think my 10-year-old nephew is going to really understand a lot of those heavier aspects,\u201d she added. \u201cBut I\u2019d say it gets pretty deep. And generally, a lot of the feelings are universal.\u201d<\/p> Speaking more specifically about her character, who is a completely new addition to the universe, Calamawy continued: \u201cShe\u2019s of Egyptian descent. And she\u2019s known Marc (Oscar Isaac\u2019s character) from her past.
