Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of Bridgerton\u2019s return, Van Dusen said that while he would no longer be the drama\u2019s showrunner, he would stay on as an executive producer.<\/p>\n \u201cBridgerton will always have a special place in my heart and I think I did what I set out to do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, the fact that this show has become Netflix\u2019s biggest English language speaking series ever is something I\u2019m incredibly proud of, and something I\u2019ll always be incredibly proud of.<\/p>\n \u201cBut at the end of the day, you know, it was time for me to move on, and hopefully create that magic again in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he\u2019ll be adapting Adam Silvera\u2019s young adult novel They Both Die at the End<\/a> for TV, saying: \u201cThat is this lovely, beautiful, devastating but still uplifting book about a queer romance and I really wanted to dig in that world.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019ve been chasing for a long time and I\u2019m so excited to be working with the book\u2019s author and with eOne and yes \u2013 stay tuned.\u201d<\/p>\n Bridgerton was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 back in April last year<\/a>, with the show expected to continue adapting Julia Quinn\u2019s book series of the same name.<\/p>\n Bridgerton is streaming now on Netflix<\/a>, with the second season due to land on Friday 25th March 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n You can buy the Bridgerton book series on Amazon<\/a>.
