Based on an unbelievable true story, Operation Mincemeat arrives in UK cinemas next month\u00a0\u2013 and RadioTimes.com<\/a> can exclusively reveal a brand new featurette of the cast and creatives.<\/p>\n

The film stars Colin Firth, Kelly Macdonald, Matthew Macfadyen, Penelope Wilton, Johnny Flynn and Jason Isaacs, and is inspired by the real-life titular World War II deception operation, when British intelligence officers used a corpse and false papers to outwit German troops.<\/p>\n

Speaking in the featurette, Macdonald says: \u201cIt\u2019s kind of unbelievable that it was true\u2026 You think about World War II and it\u2019s the men on the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilton adds: \u201cThe film is about the deception side of the war.\u201d<\/p>

In the video, Succession<\/a> star Macfadyen describes the intelligence officers in the film as \u201cthese sort of collection of odd bods working out ways to fool the Nazis\u201d.<\/p>
