It\u2019s been a long time coming, but film fans can finally look forward to enjoying this year\u2019s Academy Awards<\/a>, which are taking place this Sunday (27th March).<\/p>\n

Last year, Chloe Zhao walked away as the first woman of colour to win the Best Director gong for her hugely acclaimed film Nomadland<\/a>, which also won Best Picture.<\/p>\n

This year the nominees<\/a> include the likes of Belfast<\/a>, Dune<\/a>, Licorice Pizza<\/a>, The Power of the Dog<\/a> and many more.<\/p>\n

The Oscars are almost 100 years old, having first been held in 1929, and since then there have been a whole heap of victories celebrating the entertainment industry\u2019s very best on-screen and behind-the-scenes talent.<\/p>\n
