A brand new season of MasterChef<\/a> is here!<\/p>\n

This year, 45 MasterChef 2022 contestants will enter the famous kitchen as thy show off their culinary skills in a bid to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.<\/p>\n

Over the next few months, they will be tested in a series of extraordinary, food challenges, before being whittled down for the semi-finals and final, where the winner will be crowned.<\/p>\n

With the new season starting, you may be wondering who won the previous shows, and what they\u2019re doing now.<\/p>\n

As season 18 airs on BBC One, here\u2019s a list of all the previous MasterChef winners, including what they did after the show.<\/p>\n

Tom Rhodes (2021)<\/h2>\n

Tom Rhodes won the 17th series last year, impressing the judges with his unique flavours.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a>\u00a0after his win, Tom said: \u201cIt\u2019s an absolute dream come true. I\u2019ve watched the show for so many years and I admired the past champions so to be a MasterChef champion is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI really wanted the menu to be a celebration and when I think about celebrating, I think about indulging!\u201d<\/p>\n

Thomas Frake (2020)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Thomas Frake won the competition back in 2020, wowing the judges with his selection of British dishes.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Frake his win came just before the pandemic, which put a slight halt on his plans, however, he expressed his hopes to open a gastropub in the near future, saying: \u201cThe lockdown has given me plenty of time to think about that! I\u2019d like to travel the country meeting producers and telling their stories and, one day, I\u2019d like to own a gastropub or two and cook my style of food.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since appearing on the show, Frake has partnered with lots of food brands, such as Sainsbury\u2019s and Fever Tree, and appeared at food festivals. On his Instagram, Frake regularly shares photos of the meals he\u2019s created.<\/p>\n

Irini Tzortzoglou (2019)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

She wowed the judges\u00a0 last year with her ambitious cooking skills, including her creative take on Bangers and Mash and her delicious fish and chips recipe.<\/p>\n

And since leaving the show, Irini, 61, hasn\u2019t left the kitchen.<\/p>\n

The Greek born chef takes part in regular food festival in Cumbria where she lives, and she recently appeared on an episode of MasterChef as a food critique.<\/p>\n

She also has her debut cook book, Under the Olive Tree<\/a>, coming out in June and it\u2019s available to pre-order now.<\/p>\n

Described as \u201cRecipes from my Greek kitchen\u201d it will feature lots of Mediterranean inspired dishes, as well as some of the former banker\u2019s faves.<\/p>\n

Kenny Tutt (2018)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With cooking in his \u201cblood\u201d having come from a family of food traders, Kenny, 37, stormed into the finals and was crowned the 2018 MasterChef champion.<\/p>\n

But, what is he doing now?<\/p>\n

The dad-of-two has gone on to do great things following his win, including collaborating with 5-star hotels and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Last year, he opened his first restaurant, Pitch, in Worthing where he lives with his wife and two daughters.<\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Worthing town centre on the beautiful Sussex coast, Pitch is described as \u201ca contemporary mix of modern and classic British food, wines and cocktails.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was named after Kenny\u2019s family market heritage and pays homage to the the great produce in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

Speaking of his venture,\u00a0 the former bank manager admitted he wanted it to be \u201csomewhere people can relax and feel comfortable in an atmosphere that still feels special, without that stiff upper lip attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n
