RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Pegg said that the film will let audiences see a rather different side to the character \u2013 who has grown up a bit between this film and the previous entry in the franchise.<\/p>\n\u201cBuck has to sort of take on the responsibility of a parent, really,\u201d he explained. \u201cWhich he never was in the herd. He was always like a fun uncle \u2013 Uncle Buck, if you will \u2013 and now he\u2019s more like the dad because Crash and Eddie are the eternal children.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo playing out that dynamic was fun because it was a sort of different side to the Buck character.\u201d<\/p>
One of the other big changes for Buck is that he\u2019s got a new female friend \u2013 who goes by the name Zee \u2013 and Pegg believes this has also contributed to a new, more grown-up version of the character.<\/p>\n
\u201cZee is a great character because she\u2019s a real match for Buck,\u201d he said. \u201cShe\u2019s a sort of female counterpart to Buck. She\u2019s as resourceful, as brave \u2013 everything Buck would be attracted to, I think.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, they\u2019re not really girlfriend and boyfriend, but there\u2019s certainly a relationship there. But something went wrong in that dynamic over that time, and it\u2019s probably because Buck feels like he should be on his own, he feels like he shouldn\u2019t rely on other people.<\/p>\n
