The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders has sadly been missing one of its key cast members, after Helen McCrory passed away<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n With the series set to air its final ever episode on Sunday (3rd April), the show\u2019s creator Steven Knight spoke to Radio Times magazine<\/strong> and talked about McCrory\u2019s character Polly\u2019s lasting impact throughout this sixth season \u2013 as well as how it\u2019s set to continue into the upcoming spin-off film.<\/p>\n Knight said: \u201cThe death of the human being is the tragedy. The death of the character is something you can deal with, and hopefully we dealt with it in a suitable way.<\/p>\n \u201cHelen was so brilliant. When anything happened in the rest of the series, I wanted people to think, \u2018What would Polly say?\u2019 It\u2019s like a family when someone passes away, their opinion remains in the house. Polly\u2019s opinion is going to last.\u201d<\/p> When asked whether that would still be the case in the upcoming movie, Knight replied: \u201cAbsolutely. She\u2019s such a fundamental part of what Peaky is; her presence rules.\u201d<\/p>\n McCrory starred in the first five seasons of the acclaimed drama, and the series paid tribute to her earlier this year.
