It is almost time to return to a children\u2019s classic.<\/p>\n

The beloved novel The Railway Children by E. Nesbitt was most famously adapted back in 1970 for a film starring Jenny Agutter and Bernard Cribbins.<\/p>\n

The story followed a family forced to move to the countryside after a scandal involving their patriarch and live a much more modest lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The three children, led by eldest daughter Bobbie (Agutter), were seen to be particularly fond of visiting and watching the railway line and getting to know regular passengers and staff on it.<\/p>\n

Now, Jenny Agutter is back as Bobbie<\/a> years later and with children and grandchildren of her own and they\u2019re ready for all-new adventures in a sequel film.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Railway Children Return release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Railway Children Return will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 15th July 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Filming took place on the film for six to eight weeks in West Yorkshire from 10th May 2021.<\/p>\n

This outing is being released 52 years following the release of the original 1970 film which also starred Jenny Agutter.<\/p>\n
