Season 4 has yet to arrive, and due to its sheer volume, it will be released in two different parts<\/a> to get it onto Netflix sooner.<\/p>\n The Duffer brothers are said to have consulted Breaking Bad\u2019s Vince Gilligan on how to end a long-running show, according to SFX, with Matt revealing that the ending has \u201cevolved\u201d as the characters have developed.<\/p>\n He said the ending still fits \u201cthe rough sketch\u201d he and Ross created, but it has become \u201cmore interesting and exciting than originally envisioned by me and Ross\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know what the ending is,\u201d the brothers told the publication.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s conceivable that it changes but I think it\u2019s unlikely because it\u2019s one of those endings that just feels, and has always felt, right,\u201d Matt said. \u201cAnd it also feels sort of inevitable. Then when you come up with it, you\u2019re like, \u2018oh yeah well, that is absolutely what is has to be\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n The Duffer brothers recently confirmed the end of the drama for good in an open letter to fans earlier this year.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s coming soon. And it\u2019s bigger than ever. It\u2019s also the beginning of the end,\u201d the creators wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cSeven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but \u2013 as you\u2019ll soon see for yourselves \u2013 we are now hurtling towards our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.\u201d<\/p>\n They continued: \u201cStranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one.
