Anne Hegerty was replaced on Beat The Chasers<\/a> after testing positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n But Schultz is no stranger to The Chase, as he\u2019s been a regular on the Australian series since its launch in 2015.<\/p>\n As he joins the British series, here\u2019s everything you need to know about him.<\/p> Age:\u00a0<\/strong>38<\/p>\n Instagram: <\/strong>@issaschultzofficial<\/a><\/p>\n Twitter:\u00a0<\/strong>@Issa25<\/a><\/p>\n Issa Schultz is a an Australian television quiz personality. He\u2019s best known for being one of the Chasers on The Chase Australia, where he is nicknamed The Supernerd.<\/p>\n As well as his role on The Chase, Schultz is an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships (2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021) and seven-time Pairs champion (2012\u201317, 2020), so he\u2019s more than capable of stepping in for Hegerty on the ITV series.<\/p>\n Other TV appearances include The Rich List, where he won $200,000 in 2009, as well as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and The Einstein Factor.<\/p>\n Anne Hegerty was replaced on the series after testing positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Issa Schultz revealed what it was like to replace Anne Hegerty on Beat The Chasers<\/a>.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m here. [I\u2019m feeling] great, excited and flattered that they asked me. I\u2019ve always dreamed to come on the UK version in some regard when the Aussie one started because as a dual citizen, it\u2019s a great opportunity. So with that in the back of my mind, I was sort of like, \u2018Yes! At last!\u2019 but the circumstances were unfortunate obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n While Schultz\u2019s role is only temporary at the moment, with Hegerty expected to return for the next series, Issa admitted he\u2019d like to join Beat The Chasers permanently<\/a>.<\/p>\n Asked whether he\u2019d like to return, he said: \u201cI\u2019m very nerdy \u2013 I mean, we\u2019re all nerdy but I\u2019m particularly nerdy. I like my video games. I love the quizzing obviously, my books and reading and don\u2019t go out much\u2026 so yeah, if they asked I\u2019d definitely say yes, I\u2019d be silly not to.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI\u2019d love to explore that Bradley bond. A lot of the success is that Chaser-Bradley bond. He has a unique relationship with every Chaser on that set.
