Sky has shared a first-look of Paapa Essiedu in The Lazarus Project<\/a>, a time-loop thriller now confirmed to premiere in June.<\/p>\n

From Girl\/Haji writer Joe Barton, the eight-parter stars I May Destroy You<\/a>\u2018s Essiedu as George, a man who wakes up to find himself several months in the past before being recruited for the Lazarus Project \u2013 a secret organisation that turns back time when the world is at threat of extinction.<\/p>\n

In the clip, we watch as George is caught up is a destructive car chase, jumping into a caravan and chasing down an unknown motorcyclist while being followed by the police.<\/p>\n\n<p>The series, which airs on Sky Max and NOW from 16th June, also stars Pure\u2019s Charly Clive as the love of George\u2019s life Sarah, while Caroline Quentin plays Wes \u2013 the leader of The Lazarus Project.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re joined in the cast by <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/vigil-season-2-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Vigil<\/a>\u2018s Anjli Mohindra (Archie), <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/the-split-season-4-exclusive-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">The Split\u2019<\/a>s Rudi Dharmalingam (Shiv) and Strike\u2019s Tom Burke, who plays a wanted criminal with plans to detonate a nuclear warhead and destroy the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen a freak accident harms someone close to George.
