Netflix has dropped the trailer for Jennifer Lopez\u2019s new documentary all about her life \u2013 and it looks set to be an emotional ride.<\/p>\n
Titled Halftime, a nod to 52-year-old Lopez\u2019s age, the documentary explores what the singer and actress\u2019 career will look like in the next half of her life, whilst also charting the star\u2019s rise to fame and the many hurdles she faced to get where she is today.<\/p>\n
And the trailer sees Lopez open up about her struggles to be \u201ctaken seriously\u201d as she recalls how she was called everything from \u201cdiva\u201d to \u201cserial bride\u201d by the media in the early stages of her career.<\/p>\n
\u201cI said to her once, \u2018Doesn\u2019t this bother you?\u2019\u201d Lopez\u2019s fianc\u00e9, Oscar winner\u00a0Ben Affleck<\/a>, says in the trailer. \u201cAnd she said, \u2018I expected this.\u2019\u201d<\/p> The clip also sees Lopez open up about the 2002 interview in which reporter Billy Bush asked the singer about her famous derri\u00e8re, as well as the moment she realised she\u2019d been snubbed for an Oscar nomination.<\/p>\n Lopez was hoping to be nominated for her acclaimed role in the\u00a02019 crime drama Hustlers<\/a>, but the trailer sees her recall being snubbed by the Academy Awards.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was hard. I just had very low self-esteem,\u201d the singers says in a voiceover, as we see a clip of her crying while looking at her phone on her bed.<\/p>\n \u201cI had to really figure out who I was and believe in that and not believe in anything else,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n Watch the trailer below:<\/p>\n
