For more than a decade, Call the Midwife<\/a> has been one of the most reliably popular series on British television \u2013 and star Stephen McGann has outlined one of the reasons he thinks the show has such enduring appeal.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a panel celebrating the show as part of the BFI & Radio Times Television Festival<\/strong>, McGann pointed to the depiction of his character Patrick Turner\u2019s marriage as a key factor in the show\u2019s success.<\/p>\n
