And in a new interview, Finney has revealed she was initially \u201cworried\u201d about those two massive fanbases clashing \u2013 but says that everything has been working out well up to this point<\/p>\n
\u201cI was worried about having two huge fanbases following me and whether they\u2019d get along,\u201d she told The Guardian<\/a>. \u201cBut I think it\u2019s going pretty well so far!\u201d<\/p> In the same interview, Finney detailed what it has been like to work with David Tennant and Catherine Tate \u2013 who are both making a high-profile return<\/a> to the beloved sci-fi series for its 60th anniversary special<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n She described acting alongside the pair as \u201ca bit surreal\u201d but said she was \u201clearning so much\u201d and went on to praise showrunner Russell T Davies, who is returning for his second stint on Who following his highly successful first spell between 2005 and 2010.<\/p>\n \u201cI am in awe of the fact that I\u2019ve been seen by such a legend,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Very few details have been revealed about Finney\u2019s character at this stage \u2013 beyond the fact that she\u2019s playing someone called Rose, which of course is hardly an insignificant name in the Whoniverse.<\/p>\n \u201cIf anyone would have told eight-year-old Yasmin that one day she\u2019d be part of this iconic show, I would have never in a million years believed them,\u201d Finney said when the news was announced earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cThis show has a place in so many people\u2019s hearts, so to be seen as a trans actress by the legend himself Russell, has not only made my year, it\u2019s made my life.
