BBC Four also launched in 2002, while Radio 4 Extra started as BBC 7 in the same year, before relaunching in 2007 under the new banner.<\/p>\n<p>CBBC has been home to hit children\u2019s shows including <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/rt-rewind-sarah-jane-adventures\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">The Sarah Jane Adventures<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/the-beaker-girls-dani-harmer-newsupdate\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Tracy Beaker<\/a>, while BBC Four has produced <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/programme\/b-mcoxp3\/detectorists\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Detectorists<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/programme\/b-dldek0\/twenty-twelve\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Twenty Twelve<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes announced as part of the plans include the creation of a single, 24-hour TV news channel serving UK and international audiences, s<span class=\"&quot;x_s2&quot;\">hifting a number of World Service languages to be digital only, a<\/span><span class=\"&quot;x_s2&quot;\">n ambition to reach 75 per cent of BBC viewers through iPlayer each week and n<\/span><span class=\"&quot;x_s2&quot;\">ew on-demand content and formats for news and current affairs.<\/span><\/p> <p class=\"&quot;x_li3&quot;\">This will involve a \u00a3300m reinvestment to drive a digital-first approach, through changes to content and output and additional commercial income.
