The Britain\u2019s Got Talent 2022<\/a> semi-finals continue tonight with Golden Buzzer<\/a> act Loren Allred taking to the stage after blowing away the judges with her rendition of \u2018Never Enough\u2019.<\/div>\n\n
While fans will know that Allred was the singer whose vocals feature in The Greatest Showman, some may be surprised to learn that she was a contestant on The Voice US, with the 32-year-old revealing that she didn\u2019t \u201chave the best relationship with competition shows\u201d before entering BGT.<\/div>\n\n
Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> in an exclusive interview, Allred said that appearing on Britain\u2019s Got Talent has been a \u201ccompletely different\u201d experience to being on The Voice in the US.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cI was on The Voice over 10 years ago so I was very young and I had no experience with anything like that so I was very anxious at the time.\u201d<\/div>\n\n

She added that as \u201cpretty much half\u201d of her pre-recorded rounds in the competition didn\u2019t make it into the episodes, the audience didn\u2019t know much about her when she made it to the live shows.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cI was the only person on the whole season that the viewers didn\u2019t know anything about and that affected my vote so I was eliminated pretty early on.\u201d<\/div>\n\n

She added: \u201cAnd so, I don\u2019t have the best relationship with competition shows because in my mind, I kind of associated them with just being a stressful time, that I\u2019m not sure if anything would come from it.\u201d<\/div>\n\n
She continued: \u201cAnd so being on Britain\u2019s Got Talent and seeing the response, just from my audition, compared to 10 years ago on The Voice has been just a complete shift and a complete difference. And it\u2019s really positive.\u201d<\/div>\n\n
In Allred\u2019s audition, which featured in the first episode of BGT\u2019s 15th season, the Brooklyn-based singer revealed that as many people \u201cheard [her] voice, but don\u2019t know [her] face\u201d, having been the singing voice for Rebecca Ferguson\u2019s character in The Greatest Showman, she was ready to \u201cput a face to the song\u201d.<\/div>\n\n
The video clip has since amassed over 25 million views on YouTube, while Allred automatically made it through to the live semi-finals after Amanda Holden pressed the Golden Buzzer.<\/div>\n\n
While some questioned Allred entering the show as she is more established than other acts, Britain\u2019s Got Talent responded by saying that she \u201cdeserves her spot on the BGT stage\u201d<\/a>.<\/div>\n
