Dan Walker has revealed that while he\u2019s recently left BBC Breakfast for Channel 5, he told his new channel\u2019s boss that he wouldn\u2019t have considered doing so three years ago.<\/p>\n
The presenter, who announced his move to 5 News<\/a> in April, spoke about the change to RadioTimes.com<\/a> for this week\u2019s Big RT Interview<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In an exclusive chat, Walker said: \u201cWell, in my first meeting with Channel 5, we were really honest with each other.<\/p> \u201cBen Frow \u2013 the boss \u2013 said, \u2018I wouldn\u2019t be in this meeting if I didn\u2019t really want you to work here.\u2019 And I said, \u2018Well, I probably wouldn\u2019t have been here three years ago if I\u2019m honest with you.’\u201d<\/p>\n However, Walker added that Channel 5 is \u201cdoing some brilliant stuff\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re a really creative, impressive channel,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know, they get a load of viewers for really good programmes, and I like what they do with the news.\u201d<\/p>\n Set the date! @mrdanwalker<\/a> joins @ClaudiaLizaTV<\/a> on 5 News at 5 on Monday 6 June ????
