But, as season 8 got underway on Monday 6th June, Gemma failed to share this information with other contestants in the Love Island 2022 line-up<\/a> \u2013 even when hinted at.<\/p>\n It looked like she was about to spill the beans during a conversation with her former partner Liam Llewellyn<\/a>, as he questioned her family owning 12 horses and her knowledge of sports. However, when Liam asked if she\u2019d dated a footballer, she didn\u2019t cough up about her dad.<\/p>\n Later that evening, she chatted with Luca Bish<\/a>\u00a0and keenly mentioned her full name, but didn\u2019t elaborate further.<\/p>\n It seems viewers will have to wait a little while before the dressage rider reveals all, as she won\u2019t be sharing this information until someone asks.<\/p>\n Before she entered the Love Island villa<\/a>, Gemma told\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press: \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m going to go in there and sort of be like, \u2018Oh you know my dad was a footballer,\u2019 because I\u2019m not really that type of person.<\/p>\n \u201cI think if they asked me, \u2018What do your parents do?\u2019 I\u2019m not going to keep it a secret. I\u2019d be honest and sort of say, but it\u2019s definitely not something that I\u2019m going to go in there bragging about. I think I\u2019ll only address it if people ask me.\u201d<\/p> Asked what her dad thought of her joining the show, Gemma admitted Michael wasn\u2019t happy she signed up<\/a>.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI still wouldn\u2019t say he was buzzing about the fact. But he\u2019s very supportive with whatever I decide to do.<\/p>\n \u201cHe didn\u2019t have a massive tantrum or anything like that. It was pretty chilled. He sort of trusts me not to do anything and not to embarrass him or anything like that.
