Chatting with Killing Eve<\/a> star\u00a0Sandra Oh during a\u00a0Variety \u201cActors on Actors\u201d<\/a> conversation, Jung explained why she wasn\u2019t sad when her character was killed off in the final episode despite it being one of the most shocking moments in the series.<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe it\u2019s weird to say it, but while I\u2019m shooting my death scene, I was so happy,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was the most comfortable scene I ever had.\u201d<\/p> Explaining what she meant by that, she added: \u201cIt\u2019s because I\u2019ve been living with my character over a few months, and then there is a time that I have to let her go, and I kind of feel like I can happily let her go, because I can understand, maybe not fully, but I\u2019m the one who can understand her most in this world.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I know her stress, and I know how her life was [such a] struggle and hard. So it wasn\u2019t that bad or sad.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking during a Drama Actress Roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u00a0last month, Jung revealed that she initially thought she had messed up her performance<\/a> when she first watched the episodes with her fellow cast members.<\/p>\n \u201cMy first message to director Hwang after I watched Squid Game was, \u2018I am so sorry. And thank you so much for casting me,’\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m going to cry. It was so stressful. I was trying to prepare for the bad reactions and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is currently hard at work on season 2<\/a>, although he\u2019s said that he is\u00a0\u201cstill brainstorming and collecting the ideas for season 2\u201d\u00a0and hasn\u2019t started writing yet \u2013 so fans may have a while to wait.<\/p>\n Squid Game is now available to watch on Netflix.
