When Gemma Owen<\/a> entered the Love Island<\/a> villa, many expected her to make it known straight away that she is the daughter of former footballer Michael Owen<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, that turned out not to be the case, with Gemma explaining to RadioTimes.com and other press<\/a> before she entered the villa that she didn\u2019t plan to \u201cgo in there and sort of be like, \u2018Oh you know my dad was a footballer,\u2019 because I\u2019m not really that type of person\u201d.<\/p>\n She continued, saying that \u201cI think if they asked me, \u2018What do your parents do?\u2019 I\u2019m not going to keep it a secret. I\u2019d be honest and sort of say, but it\u2019s definitely not something that I\u2019m going to go in there bragging about.
