Fans of EastEnders<\/a> are well used to all the doom and gloom the soap has to offer, but just once in a while they\u2019d love to see a happy ending.<\/p>\n Well, one could be on the way for Jean Slater (played by Gillian Wright) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman)\u2026 the actors, at least, would like to see it.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> at the British Soap Awards 2022<\/a>, while they admitted they don\u2019t know what\u2019s coming in the future, Boatman would love for them to stick together.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cWe don\u2019t know, do we? We\u2019re kept in the dark as much as the viewers are, really, but we\u2019re hopeful. I am. I\u2019m hopeful that they will get back together.<\/p> \u201cAnd I\u2019m sure their story is not quite played out yet. So hopefully there\u2019s a bright future for them.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Wright won the award along with soap daughter Lacey Turner for On-Screen Partnership, but their complex storyline hasn\u2019t been resolved just yet.<\/p>\n When asked if Stacey and Jean would reunite, Wright admitted: \u201cShe is at the psychiatric unit at the moment and she does come out. But she doesn\u2019t go back to the Square.
